Introduction: Abnormal angiogenesis may contribute to impaired wound healing and the consequence of them is non-healing diabetic ulcers development. Therefore, the aim of the study was to evaluate the number of circulating EPCs, plasma levels of VEGF-A, sVEGF-R2 and FGF-2 in diabetic patients.Materials and methods: Totally, 75 subjects were enrolled: 45 patients with type 2 diabetes (mean age 67.1 years) and 30 healthy volunteers (mean age 63.3 years).
